Like growing up in a distanced neighborhood which was divided by time and age, it's easy to sometimes forget where you came from.
I had balloon filled passion for every subject that used to keep me afloat. Though, lately.. through my trials of hardship and stress related circumstances, I've listened and watched as the balloons popped one by one over the past several years.
Being the person that I am, I find myself dipping my hands into new territory and ventures at every possible turn. Because like Christopher Columbus, I want to embark on unmarked territory all the time (skip the technicality of this sentence, esp the gayness). When it comes to music, though, it's safe to say that I'm on a constant state of shuffle.
(Where was I going with this?)
Oh yeah, House Music. (I like to avoid the main details)
Because I don't want to explain what type of sound this is (too lazy), let's give Wiki a try!
House music: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_music
(wow)
I wouldn't expect anyone to actually read through that jumble of mess, 'cause hell, even I'm too lazy to skim through it!
When asked "what kind of music do you listen to?" my natural response is: everything. While it's impossible to justifiably listen to "everything" I DO listen to a very diverse range of: a lot of things.
But despite my cynical tastes in music, the one type that lifts my spirit no matter what the weather- it's House Music. I don't claim or represent any form or label, except for being a self-proclaimed: House Junkie.
It's time to get back to basics, because that's where my heart is… or as Marina calls it "my natural habitat..."
I stopped dancing a long while ago, so let's get back to basics… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xikOFwaidY
Ref for the song title only; though.. I prefer this song from the Shapeshifters: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-4ORMHZyyM
Also! Don't be misunderstood by the MANY variations of House Music. Get a clue: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Styles_of_house_music
As for me? I do jazz, tribal, soul/funky,disco, deep, electro, progressive, vocal - HOUSE.
P.S. I despise hard house and tech-house. DIE.
...Until next time. G'day!
