if you had the opportunity to ask one question; just one question and finally get an answer to it, what would it be?

mine: are you there?

my answer was given hastily and then quickly taken away. it's common to bite off more than you can chew, so my natural reaction was to demand more. [explain! give me more!] what i failed to comprehend at the time, was that it was not meant to be the answer of all questions, but just the clarity of one. i came > i saw > and then it went away. it is common to want constant validity when comfort leaves you standing in the middle of the street.

what i failed to comprehend at the time, was that you didn't leave - i did.

when the lights are out and no one is around, i will think fast to ask this same question of you. you came > i went > and now we're both here.

lead the way.
