tough love

love can be tough, that's for sure! i think some of that has to do with power struggle. someone has to give-in every now and then, and i think the idea of letting go makes us subjectively extra sensitive, thus, prone to failure at some point. being perfect is a type of disease that eats at your white blood cells. the more you live in that image, the more you begin rejecting yourself. we're made to fail and sin, that's why we have this desire to become something more than ourselves. love can be tough, but it has the ability to overcome..

it will take trust...


however, above all else, it will also take patience and loyalty. your love and whole entity will be challenged, there's no denying that. how much easier is it to "throw in the towel" than it is to wash, dry, and iron it through? with time, it will wear thin and develop holes because of its dire exhaustion. but these things are meant to last. they're built with a lifetime guarantee! hope (faith) is there to keep everything together. it's the yarn that sows and the tie that binds.
