Sigh:
1. to let out one's breath audibly, as from sorrow, weariness, or relief.
Sighing to me is an essential necessity. It is a breath away from your tear duct, and in some cases, a swift punch in the gut. Regardless of it's featherweight and unnecessary groans, this sense of weight really takes a load off your chest, even if only for 2 seconds. I suppose God is trying to remind us to breath, especially when life has us in an arm-lock. Regardless of any and ALL suckerpunches or blows, it is important to trust in God's ultimate triumph over your soul. These are just things, places and situations, all of which are temporary conditions clouding your spirit. Our sighs and tear ducts were created exclusively for this melodramatic story we watch on tv, only we wish it ended with awesome fireworks and singing dolphins. Life is real and sometimes it's too real. Movies usually portray 1-2 primary roles with a bunch of "extras" and usually nobody remembers/knows their name. Movies, songs, books.. what do most of them have in common? The main characters are usually narcissistic and self-serving, much like the real world. Society has developed this dog eat dog mentality with little to no regard of any other dogs, rats, hamsters, or singing dolphins in the same room. I strive to become a lowly soul with humility that stretches further than my bank account. In exactly one month, I will be out of a job, out of my apartment and in a completely new City. I have a feeling that God has plans for this soul of mine. And though my sighs may tire and tear ducts water, (due to allergies, of course), I trust fully in my sole provider. A new chapter is being turned into history, the story of a life being lived. How great is our God.
Tomorrow is a whole new day! Every day is a gift, make sure you don't miss the big picture!
